Nursery
The Nursery, which is part of a large Foundation Stage, admits pupils on a part-time basis in the year following their third birthday.
There are 52 places available from September 2007.
Although preference is given to pupils living in the Old Clee catchment area, there are currently vacancies which are available to pupils living in other areas.
The Nursery has a team of three Nursery Nurses who are led and managed by the Foundation Stage Leader. The Nursery has spacious accommodation and secure outside play areas.
Foundation Stage
There are three Reception classes which together with the Nursery make up the Foundation Stage, led by Miss Parish.
Pupils are admitted in September following their fourth birthday.
The Reception classes are adjacent to each other and at times through the day there is free flow so that pupils can access a wide range of activities.
The Foundation Stage is equipped with its own ICT suite and each class has an interactive whiteboard.
Outside play space is attractive and secure.
Key Stage 1
Years 1 and 2 are grouped in six single age classes currently at an average size of 24 pupils. These year groups are led by our Assistant Head, Mr. Smith.
All classes have access to secure outside space and are equipped with interactive whiteboards.
Pupils also have access to the school's ICT suite each week.
There is a large hall used for P.E. and Music.
Key Stage 2
There are currently twelve Junior classes. They are all single age classes. Year 3 and 4 are led by the Asssistant Head, Mrs Simmons, and Year 5 and 6 are led by the Asssistant Head, Mr Howard. They are responsible for their team of teachers and support staff.
In addition there are specialist teachers for Music, Special Needs and French.
All classes have an interactive whiteboard and access to a large ICT suite.
The Grounds are extensive, attractive and well maintained with football pitches, pupils’ gardens and wild areas. The school buildings are also extensive including a magnificent hall equipped with full stage, lighting and sound system.
Extended School
Old Clee has a wide range of clubs and activities which volunteer staff lead in their own time.
In addition there is a Breakfast Club which opens each morning at 8.00am to provide a simple breakfast of cereal, toast and drinks at a reasonable price.
Games and activities are available each day also.
